About MPI Offshore’s WTIVs
Our vessels have been developed from the first concept to deliver integrated solutions for the offshore industry.
Delivered in 2003, MPI Resolution has proved to be the vessel of choice for the offshore wind industry in the installation of foundations and turbines. Building on the pioneering experience gained in operating MPI Resolution, MPI Adventure has been added to provide a fleet that positions MPI Offshore as the world leader in offshore wind installation.
The latest technology is incorporated in these new builds encompassing high capacity, high speed jacking systems, larger deck space, DP-2 positioning system and the latest 1000Te main crane. These features are vital in the safe and efficient delivery of offshore wind projects today and into the future.
Early January 2015, MPI Offshore announced the acquisition of Victoria Mathias from RWE Innogy. Victoria Mathias is a 2011-built wind-turbine-installation vessel, designed to transport, lift and install wind turbines and their foundations. Key features include a 1,000-tonne-capacity main crane, a maximum operating depth of 45 metres and the ability to jack with 4,350 tonnes of cargo on board. Following closely in the traditions of the existing MPI fleet (MPI Resolution and MPI Adventure), Victoria Mathias will be renamed “MPI Enterprise” and will operate under the Dutch flag. The vessel has been delivered to MPI in early January 2015 and will continue her current charter at RWE Innogy’s offshore wind farm Nordsee Ost off the German coast.
