MPI Discovery & Adventure

Tuesday 9 June 2009

Following the success of the Resolution, MPI Offshore have invested in two new builds, MPI Adventure and MPI Discovery.

MPI Advneture and MPI Discovery

Delivery of these is spring 2011 and autumn 2011 (available in Europe). Both Vessels have enhanced systems which will maintain MPI-Offshore as the preferred ‘Installation Solution.’

Currently MPI Resolution is the first and only purpose built vessel for installing offshore wind turbine components and foundations. MPI Resolution has proved that the Transport Installation Vessel (TIV) concept is the choice of the industry.

At the point of delivery in 2011 MPI Adventure and MPI Discovery will be the second and third purpose built vessels for Offshore Wind.

Their enhanced design features have been sourced and integrated from designing and operating MPI Resolution.

These new built vessels will transport, lift and install more wind turbines and their foundations than any other solution. This is achieved by improved deck space, lifting capacity, jacking speed, increased power and improved  enviromental operability .

This has been achieved without losing the original concept, of the unique combination of tested technologies, pioneered by MPI Resolution and MPI Offshore.
