The Pile Guidance Tool (PGT) was designed and supplied by IHC Gusto BV to MPI’s specification to facilitate the guidance and adjustment of large offshore piles during driving.
The monopile is either lifted into position on the seabed using a crane or MPI’s Monopile Upending Frame (MUF), the PGT is then activated to grip the pile before the crane is released.
The PGT can then be used to align the pile vertically and guide it during the early stages of driving.
