Resolution takes the strain

MPI Resolution, the world's first purpose built vessel for installing offshore wind turbines, foundations and transition pieces has set an industry record.
The ship recently loaded nine Vestas' V90 3MW turbines whilst docked in Dunkirk, for installation at Vattenfall's 300MW Thanet wind farm off the coast of Kent. According to Vestas, the nine machine load is an industry record.

MPI Offshore Takes Delivery of MPI Discovery Friday 4 November 2011
MPI Offshore Limited (MPI) is pleased to announce the delivery, in Qidong, People’s Republic of China, of the MPI Discovery, the second of two state-of-the art wind turbine installation vessels to be built at the Cosco Qidong Shipyard. The vessel left the Shipyard today, 28 October 2011.
