MPI Workboats

Last Updated: Tuesday 11 May 2010

It was decided that there was a need for MPI to be involved in the smaller vessel market associated with offshore wind and this lead to the forming of MPI Workboats Ltd, a 100% owned subsidiary of MPI Offshore Ltd.

Working with the likes of Dong Energy, Siemens Wind Power, Centrica Energy and NPower MPI Workboats operates fast catamarans for the transfer of personnel and equipment between the shore and the wind turbines.

Our vessels are constructed to a very high standard and are all built by one of the largest boat builders in the UK, South Boats Special Projects Ltd.

The current fleet includes three 15m vessels and one 20m version, all being robust, fast and seaworthy. This allows them to work in a variety of challenging environments. The layout of the vessels has been designed with the comfort and safety of the passengers they carry in mind.
