The consortium developing the London Array, the world’s largest offshore wind farm, have today announced that a charter has been awarded to MPI Offshore Ltd to use Adventure for the installation of foundations and turbines for the first phase of what potentially will be the worlds first 1GW offshore wind farm

During November 09 MPI Resolution completed her foundation operations in the Thanet offshore wind farm after successfully installing 84 No Transition Pieces (TP’s) and J-tube assemblies.

Resolution has just completed the installation of 84 No Transition Pieces at the Thanet Offshore Windfarm. The vessel charterers at this point of the project elected to transfer Resolution to installation of the Wind Turbine Generators leaving 16 No Transitions still to install by an alternative installation vessel.
