Your responsibilities

As an HSE Coordinator your primary responsibilities are to implement the HSE policy and procedures and optimise compliance with the Van Oord Management System in line with the Van Oord strategy and business plan, thereby contributing to the minimisation of HSE related risks and raising safety awareness within the organisation. The focus of this position will be the management of HSE for O&M projects in the offshore wind industry.   

Job requirements

The HSE Coordinator will be a pro-active, decisive and result driven person who can manage challenging projects in a structured way. A conceptual thinker with strong communication skills to effectively work with a variety of stakeholders, together with:


·     Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent

·     Demonstrates extensive experience in the management of HSE, preferably in offshore (wind) or process industry in areas:

·     Developing and executing health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines (CDM) and Van Oord and client requirements

·     Preparing and enforcing policies to establish a culture of health and safety in line with the Van Oord Say Yes to Safety program

·     Ability to work occasionally on the vessels

·     Ability to occasionally travel (inter)nationally to project locations and to the Netherlands office
